Ted Dowling is a Canadian executive and entrepreneur in the medium and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle sector. He is the owner of WAV Industries, a company focused on advancing clean transportation solutions, EV Fleet charging and Battery Energy Storage Solutions, and has served in roles as Managing Director of Ebusco North America, and Vice President of BYD Canada where he led strategic growth and deployment of electric fleets across the continent.

With over 30 years of experience building and scaling companies that serve public transit systems worldwide, Ted has become a recognized leader in the electrification of heavy-medium duty vehicles. His international career includes spearheading technology acquisitions and establishing joint ventures across Asia, Europe, and Australia.

Ted is an active contributor to the industry’s evolution. He has served on the Electric Mobility Canada Board, is a member of its Government Relations Committee, and participated in the Medium and Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicle Working Group.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ted has a long history of service on non-profit boards and was honored in 2020 with induction into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
