Nikki grew up on a farm in rural East Anglia in the UK, and saw first hand at a very young age the impact of anthropogenic climate change on the world around her. A nerd through and through, she’s been interested in electric vehicles since she fell in love with an Enfield Electric in a magazine in the mid 1980s. After a decade-long career as a professional musician and teacher, she turned her attention to electric vehicle journalism in 2006 - about the same time she purchased her first electric car, and she started the Transport Evolved podcast in 2009. She now lives on 1/3 of an acre west of Portland, Oregon with her wife, their two dogs, and countless chickens
