Maya is the Director of Climate Leadership at the Community Energy Association (CEA), a BC-based non-profit dedicated to empowering local governments and Indigenous communities to achieve their climate action goals. Maya leads the Capacity and Leadership Development team, driving initiatives that build expertise and foster peer networks around critical climate action opportunities, particularly the acceleration of building and transportation electrification. With a deep commitment to collaboration, Maya is passionate about bringing together communities, provincial and federal authorities, public sector organizations, and other key partners. Her goal is to amplify local climate action efforts and replicate successful strategies across regions, ensuring that every community has the tools and support they need to contribute to a low-carbon and resilient future.
