John Henderson bought his first EV, a Segway, in 2006 (he still has it!) and took delivery of the first Tesla Roadster into BC in 2010. An entrepreneur, innovator and early adopter, he is currently the Mayor of the District of Sechelt and co-founder of the Sunshine Coast EV Association. Last year, John was elected Secretary of the Global EV Alliance, a worldwide organization with members in 35 countries representing over 300,000 drivers. He is a member of the Green Municipal Fund Council which provides funding to municipalities for innovative, green and sustainable infrastructure projects.
