
J-M Toriel
J-M Toriel is seasoned champion of promoting electric mobility as an EV driver since 2015 and having worked in the EVSE (EV charging) sector since the first EVs were hitting the roads.
He is originally from Montreal and a die-hard Habs fan, trilingual (English, French and Spanish) with a very international background and a zest for travel and has French dual citizenship. He is inspired daily by his wife, son and 2 daughters that live in a townhouse complex on the Fraser River in South Vancouver where they frequently walk,bike or get out into nature.
He graduated with an MBA from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute from the first Sustainable Business Program with a mission to “Change Business for Good” and has an Honours BA in Political Science from the School of Community and Public Affairs at Concordia University.
J-M supports the Plug in BC team as a Program Coordinator for Emotive assisting the Community Outreach Program and also worked on the Public Charger Program.
He has a passion to “electrify everything” that is contagious and initiated the installation of BC’s first community PV rooftop solar project, helped design the first EV charging parkade in Canada, started his own EV charging business that installed the first EV chargers and recently put a heat pump is his townhome. He is devoted to providing advice to stratas and businesses on how to become EV Ready for the EV revolution already upon us. He’s just waiting for everyone else to catch up!
