On August 1, 2025, Charlotte Mitha will become the next President and CEO of BC Hydro. She is currently BC Hydro's Executive Vice-President, Operations. Charlotte joined BC Hydro in 2004 and has been a member of the executive team for more than six years. In this role, Charlotte has overseen the control centres, water management, and field-based employees responsible for operating and maintaining BC Hydro's extensive infrastructure. This includes over 300 substations, 80,000 km of transmission and distribution lines, and 30 hydro plants, which collectively provide reliable electricity to five million customers. Charlotte is a Professional Engineer in mechanical engineering and holds Masters of Business Administration from the Royal Holloway College at the University of London.
